Welcome to our website. We are a service organization of 120 plus members dedicated not only to helping our own community, but others in Nebraska, the United States and even the rest of the world. We are just a small part of a global organization of 260,000 adult members - volunteers in nearly 8,000 clubs in 96 countries around the world. The Lincoln Center Kiwanis Club has been serving Lincoln since 1919, just a few short years after the first Kiwanis Club was organized in the United States. For those many years, the mission has never changed. Kiwanians worldwide are involved in providing child-focused activities. The defining statement of Kiwanis International is, "Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time." Even though the mission has not changed, current economic conditions have created a new sense of urgency, worldwide, and certainly right in our own Lincoln community. Now more than ever, we need women and men in our club to provide strength and passion to make a difference through difficult times. In fact, the theme for the 2009-2010 year is, "Discover the Passion." Very fitting and most appropriate.
